ALLCOT will be present in Glasgow

After the historic first Latin American and Caribbean Climate Summit held on October 6, 7 and 8 in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, ALLCOT will be present at COP26, which will take place in Glasgow.

From October 31 to November 12, the different parties will meet to try to accelerate action towards meeting the goals of the Paris Agreement under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.

Among the main issues to be addressed during COP26 are: the need to ensure a Net Zero world by mid-century, through ambitious emission reduction targets (NDCs) that limit global warming to 1.5°C; adaptation for the protection of communities and natural habitats; the urgency of financial mobilization by developed countries to keep their pledge on climate change contributions; and the collaboration between society, governments and the private sector to deliver on climate goals faster.

ALLCOT will be represented at COP26 by Natalia Rodrigo Vega (Head of Business Department), Mercedes Garcia Madero (Head of Group Technical Department), Arturo Vallejo Abdala (Group Head of Policy) and Sergi Cuadrat (Group Chief Innovation Officer).
