Project description:

The Aguascalientes – EcoMethane Landfill Gas to Energy Project developed by Biogas Technology Ltd. is a landfill gas (LFG) collection and utilisation project taking place at the San Nicolas  landfill in the city of Aguascalientes, Mexico. The project has an electricity component with an installed capacity between 2 and 4 MW.

The objective of the Project is to collect and flare the LFG generated at the landfill to produce electricity. This has involved investing in a highly efficient gas collection system, flaring equipment an,  and, once the project secured a power purchase contract, a modular electricity generation plant.
